A petrochemical enterprise encountered abnormal operation of its reverse osmosis (RO) system triggered by fluctuating quality of incoming raw water. Our engineering team carried out real-time monitoring of key operational parameters and dynamically adjusted operating strategies. Targeted cleaning regimens were adopted in accordance with specific fouling types; meanwhile, the pH value of cleaning solutions was precisely regulated, cleaning duration was extended, and immersion cleaning was implemented to guarantee thorough cleaning efficacy and restore membrane flux.

Following systematic operation and maintenance optimization, the water production capacity of the reverse osmosis system recovered to 98% of its initial commissioning level. The operating differential pressure was stabilized below 0.2 MPa, and the cleaning cycle was prolonged. These measures effectively secured stable and uninterrupted production for the enterprise.
