Performance and Applications
Copolymer of sodium p-styrene sulfonate and maleic anhydride (SSS/MA) is an excellent scale inhibitor and dispersant among all existing polymers for cooling water treatment. The copolymer is rich in carboxylic acid groups and sulfonic acid groups, with a scale inhibition rate of over 90% for calcium carbonate, phosphate and calcium sulfate, excellent ability to disperse iron oxide, and a zinc ion stabilization rate of over 90%. The polymer has excellent temperature resistance, superior to hydrolyzed polymaleic anhydride and solvent-based polymaleic anhydride, etc., and is a good substitute for solvent-based polymaleic anhydride. It is used in flash evaporation devices for seawater desalination, low-pressure boilers and industrial circulating cooling water, especially for ash water scale inhibition of Texaco gasifiers.

Application Scope
SSS/MA is usually compounded with organophosphonates at 3~15mg/L for circulating cooling water treatment and internal treatment of low-pressure boilers, with good effect of inhibiting scale formation and stripping old scale, and the scale inhibition rate can reach 98%. After EDTMPS is compounded with SSS/MA in a ratio of 1:3, it can be used for internal water treatment of low-pressure boilers; when SSS/MA is compounded with zinc salts, it can effectively prevent corrosion of carbon steel.
Packaging and Storage
SSS/MA is packed in plastic drums, Standard capacities: 25kg, 250kg, 1250kg (IBC tank).Note: Packaging weight can be adjusted according to customer requirements.Store in a cool and dry place. The shelf life is twelve months.
Safety Protection
SSS/MA is non-hazardous. Pay attention to labor protection during operation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
