Properties and Applications
1227 is a cationic surfactant and non-oxidizing biocide with broad-spectrum and high-efficiency bactericidal and algaecidal performance. It can effectively inhibit the reproduction of bacteria and algae as well as the growth of biological slime in water systems. It delivers excellent slime stripping capacity together with moderate dispersing and penetrating properties. In addition, it possesses partial degreasing, deodorizing and corrosion inhibition effects.
1227 features low toxicity without cumulative toxicity, and it is easily soluble in water without being affected by water hardness. It is widely applied in recirculating cooling water systems of petroleum, chemical, electric power, textile and other industries to suppress microbial and algal growth, and shows special efficacy against sulfate-reducing bacteria.
In textile printing and dyeing industries, 1227 can be used as biocide and mildew inhibitor, softener, antistatic agent, emulsifier and conditioning agent.

Application Instructions
When used as bactericide and algaecide: typical dosing dosage 50–100 mg/L
When used as slime stripping agent: dosage 200–300 mg/L; appropriate organosilicon defoamer may be added if necessary.
It can be compounded with other biocides such as isothiazolinones, glutaraldehyde and methylene dithiocyanate for synergistic effects, but co-application with chlorophenol chemicals is prohibited. After dosing 1227, contaminants stripped from pipelines will appear in circulating water. Timely filtration or skimming is required to prevent sedimentation after foam fades away.
1227 must never be mixed with anionic surfactants including polyacrylic acid, hydrolyzed polymaleic anhydride, etc., even in packaging drums and mixing equipment.
Packaging and Storage
Packaged in plastic drums of 25 kg or 200 kg; customized packaging is available upon customer requirements. Store indoors in cool and well-ventilated areas with a shelf life of 12 months.
Safety and Protection
1227 exerts no obvious irritation to human skin. Rinse skin thoroughly with clean water in case of contact.
