Product Performance

PO-100 is a high-efficiency compound formula RO membrane scale inhibitor. It features excellent scale inhibition performance and a wide application range, delivering superior scale inhibition and dispersion effects for conventional water quality. It is especially suitable for preventing scaling caused by the precipitation of carbonates, sulfates, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and iron oxide. With high scale inhibition efficiency, it will not undergo flocculation with residual flocculants or aluminum-rich and iron-rich compounds, nor form any flocculates. This product can effectively prevent scaling in reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF) or ultrafiltration (UF) systems without ion exchange pretreatment, thereby increasing water production capacity and improving product water quality.

Product Features

(1) It can effectively control inorganic scaling in the high concentration range, with a maximum allowable LSI value of 2.8 under acid-free conditions.

(2) It does not flocculate with iron-aluminum oxides and silicon compounds to form insoluble substances.

(3) It is compatible with various types of reverse osmosis CA and TFC membranes, nanofiltration (NF) membranes and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes produced by major global manufacturers.

(4) It remains effective when the feed water pH value is in the range of 5 to 10.

Application Method

Dosing Point

To achieve maximum efficiency, it is recommended to add PO-100 scale inhibitor before the mixer or cartridge filter. Stir thoroughly for 5–10 minutes when preparing the chemical solution, and clean the dosing tank regularly to prevent bacterial growth.

Dosing Amount

The required dosing amount is determined according to the operating conditions of individual units. A suitable dosing amount shall be calculated based on such conditions as feed water salinity, temperature, recovery rate and the type of RO membrane. The recommended dosing amount is 2–6 ppm.

Dilution

PO-100 scale inhibitor is a standard solution that can be dosed directly or used after dilution. RO product water or demineralized water shall be used for dilution. The recommended dilution ratio is 10 times, and the dilution ratio shall not exceed 20 times.

Packaging, Storage, Transportation and Precautions

Packed in plastic drums, with specifications of 25kg/drum, 200kg/drum or customized as per customer requirements. Store in a cool and dry place with a shelf life of 12 months. Pay attention to labor protection during operation; avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and other mucous membranes. In case of contact, rinse the affected area thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
